Hi Friend,

The phone.

I have such a love/hate relationship with it. Some days it’s a source of productivity and inspiration. Other days I want to put it in a locked drawer and never find the key.

But why does my phone have to be such a source of stress? Often just looking at the phone seemed to elevate my heart rate.

And this isn’t just about the phone. It’s about where attention and energy is going and about what I’m unconsciously letting pull at me throughout the day.

It is possible to create more spaciousness in life — a little more breathing room, without having to move to a farm and give up technology altogether. Sometimes it’s about making small, intentional choices that support how you want to feel throughout the day.

That could look like being more selective with what you read, watch, or listen to. It could look like noticing who you’re spending time with and if it feels expansive and like you can truly be yourself. It could also look like simplifying your days just enough so you’re not constantly rushing from one thing to the next. We could all use an extra few minutes between daily to-dos to enjoy the simplicity of sipping our favorite cup of coffee, breathing in the fresh, crisp air outside, or even closing our eyes for a few moments to rest and recharge.

If you want less noise, more clarity, and a little lighter mental load from all that you have to carry in a day, it’s worth noticing where your energy is being pushed and pulled throughout the day, and gently decide what actually deserves you.
