Lately I’ve been noticing how easy it is to treat rest like something you earn. Like it’s only allowed after enough boxes are checked, enough people are taken care of, enough work is finally done. And the tricky part is that the better you are at showing up, the more invisible your tiredness can become. You keep functioning at this pace, so everyone (including you) assumes you’re fine and that this pace is normal.
