Hi Friend,

I had one of those days recently (ok more than one day, it was more like a serious of days) where I was busy from the moment I woke up… but by the end of it, I felt like I hadn’t actually done anything that mattered.

I was just jumping from one thing to the next.

Responding to a Slack message, checking my email, re-checking that same email, transferring files from one folder to another.

I was being “productive” all day but not really present to focused work.

And it made me pause and ask myself something a question I often times come back to:

Does the way I spend my days actually reflect what matters to me?

Because when I really looked at it I realized, just because something takes up your time doesn’t mean it deserves to!

And just because your day is full, doesn’t mean it’s aligned.

I think a lot of us live in this constant state of low-grade urgency. Like a hum in the background of our lives. Hum maybe sounds too peaceful. An alarm, maybe? 🫠

Where everything in the day some how feels so important, so everything gets treated the same.

But the truth is not all things carry the same weight and not all things require the same energy.

Lately, I’ve been needing this more and more where I just need to create space for the things that actually move my life forward, instead of just filling it.

The goal isn’t to do more, it never really should be, it’s to just bring more awareness to what truly matters to you and start from there. 🫶

If you were to look at your day from the outside, would it reflect what’s most important to you?
