Hi Friend,
Self-care doesnāt always look like getting your nails done, taking a nap, or having a spa day.
Self-care for me these days looks like responding to emails, hanging up a photo thatās been leaning against my wall for months, tying up loose ends. In other words, self-care looks like getting things done.
Each task on its own doesnāt necessarily feel so monumental, itās just a task getting crossed off the list. But, thatās where the self-care is: the mental space.
The unfinished tasks that live in our subconscious, or on scratch pieces of paper around the house, are taking up our energy whether we realize it or not. But every time we clear one more task, or close one more open loop, we create not only mental space but we begin to feel more calm, more focus, and more ease.
Sometimes the care weāre looking for in life isnāt in the big projects we finish or the major headlines. Itās very often times in clearing the debris here and there on the path so you can walk a little lighter.
Iād love to know what is one task thatās been looming on your list of things to do and it would feel SO good if you completed it (however mundane it might be!). Hit reply and let me know š
Till next week,
Rachel
