I feel like I’m in a bit of a starting over season…again. For me, a lot of that is showing up in how I take care of myself. It’s always been on my mind, but lately there’s a different level of awareness. If I don’t sleep well, I find myself asking why. If something feels off, I pause a little longer instead of just moving on.
I think I’m just asking more questions these days because if I don’t slow down, pause, and ask them, who will?
I’m stepping into a new chapter of my own healing journey, and what feels most honest right now is that I can’t control every outcome, but I can choose how willing I am to show up for myself. I am willing to notice, to try, to stay the course (even when, especially when, I don’t have clear answers)
We’re so used to wanting a plan. Something to follow so we can feel certain about where we’re going. But that’s not how life works!
It’s less about getting somewhere as quickly as possible, and more about meeting yourself where you are…and being honest about it.
And I think this shows up everywhere — not just in our health, but in how we live, how we work, how we move through any type of life transition.
Sometimes showing up for yourself looks like telling yourself the truth about where you are, and then taking one small step from there.
It’s not anything extreme or overwhelming. It’s just a step. 🦶
