Hi Friend,
At the beginning of the year, I set my word for the year as flourish.
To flourish is to grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favorable environment.
To be totally transparent, the past few months I haven’t felt like I’ve been flourishing because sometimes life just comes at you in unexpected ways that feel out of your control!
But revisiting this word lately has reminded me that to flourish doesn’t mean it’s a constant feeling — it’s an intentional practice to come back to time and time again. It’s in the choosing to return to, even when life is very much in the messy middle.
If you’re in a season where your energy feels scattered or your routines have fallen apart, you’re not behind. You’re human. 🫶
If you chose a word back in January (or even if you’re choosing one right now!) this is your invitation to revisit it. How did you hope it would unfold for you? What does it look like in the real life you’re actually living today?
What is one small step you can take to align your day to your word?
For me, this could look like:
💫 Going on a 20 minute walk after each meal 🥗
💫 Drinking minimum of 80 oz of water today💧
💫 Focusing on one work task at a time to calm my anxious mind 📝
And if you’ve been needing the reminder to reset or check-in with yourself: you can begin from exactly where you are today. ✨
Lots of love,
Rachel

📖 Know
When we’re stressed, it’s harder to keep going, especially if something feels totally out of our control. But studies show that if we can find even a small piece we can control (like the next right step), we’re more likely to bounce back and continue.
That’s one reason “small steps” matter so much in hard seasons: they’re a practical way to reclaim a sense of control and return to the person you’re trying to become — one choice at a time.

🌱 Begin
Write your word at the top of a piece of paper and finish this sentence:
If I lived my word by 1% today, I would…

When life is in the messy middle, a simple way I reset is to close a few open loops and turn a scattered mind into a calm, intentional one.
