Hi Friend,

Today’s newsletter update is more of a personal share…I’ve shared a bit over on my Youtube a surface level look at my health journey but there’s so much going on behind the scenes. If I’m being open here, I’ve been very fatigued, experiencing side effects from a combination of medications and supplements, and just not feeling (or looking) like myself. My health has been a lifelong journey which is why when I share content about reducing mental load, lessening stress and simplifying life, I know how truly important that is to your overall health and well-being.

This week, despite going through my ongoing health challenges, work brought me to the Dave Asprey biohacking conference. Stay with me here on how this is all relevant lol…

Being surrounded by hundreds of people who are looking to optimize, level up, and live to 180 years old has been magnetically inspiring. There is a frequency and energy that matters in the spaces that you choose to be in. And your mind is also far more powerful than you might realize.

Whatever you repeatedly focus on, you reinforce. If you keep circling the story of how stuck you are, how sick you are, how heavy it all feels, your nervous system starts to treat that as the truth of your life, and it becomes the lens you see everything through. To keep you safe, your brain is wired to keep confirming what it already believes. When I’m not feeling like myself, my mind can get stuck here, rehearsing what’s wrong or what could be better. But being at the conference has reminded me how quickly my nervous system can shift when I’m surrounded by people who are living in optimism and possibility.

It’s been a reminder that you can choose to turn your attention toward what’s possible: the tiniest sliver of evidence of progress, the smallest moment of relief, the breath and release of tension in your shoulders that came a little easier today than yesterday.

When you surround yourself with people who are grounded, hopeful, growth-minded… it rubs off. Their energy becomes an environment your body can borrow from. Their beliefs become a mirror that reflects you back to yourself. And being held in that higher frequency can shift what you’re feeling, what you’re thinking, and what you start believing is available for you again. 🫶

If you’re in a season where it feels hard to generate that energy on your own, let this be your reminder that you can borrow from the people and environments you put yourself in. Put yourself near the people, the spaces, the voices that help you remember the greatness that you are. Your mind is listening. Your body is listening. And you get to choose what you keep feeding them both.

Here’s to being well,

Rachel

📖 Know

A study found that social support can blunt the body’s stress response — including lowering cortisol (a key stress hormone), especially when paired with oxytocin. In other words: being supported doesn’t just “feel nice” — it can measurably change how your body processes stress. That’s one reason the right people and environments can help your system settle faster and open back up to possibility.

🌱 Begin

Choose one input that raises your energy: watch/listen to 5 minutes of a voice that expands you (a podcast clip, sermon, phone call with a trusted friend, audiobook), and let it be the last thing you feed your mind before bed.

Most slide chaos starts innocently.

A few decks. A few folders. A few “final_v2_final” files.

Then suddenly brand teams lose control and consultants lose time.

SlideHub brings shared slides into one place, so presentation content stays usable, current, and much easier to manage.

“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” — Jim Rohn

Who (or what) are you spending the most time with lately and how do you see this affecting your personal health and happiness? How do these 5 people make you feel in your body and in your mind?
