Hi Friend,
The Texas weather earlier this week was something else and had a mind of its own. In the span of an hour, it went from a flash flood, a cool breeze, and then that humid, sticky, hot that is preparing me for summer.
Life can feel exactly like this. One moment you’re bracing for the emergency flash flood alert on your phone, the next you see a single ray of sunshine trying to peak through as a reminder that life has duality — dark and the light…and all the shades in between.
When I’m not feeling like myself or going through a particularly challenging time in life, it can be so easy to forget this. You start treating the hard moment like it’s the permanent forecast. But storms pass, the air shifts, and the sky can decide to suddenly lift.
And if you’re in a season like that right now, bracing for the next alert, scanning the horizon for any sign of relief, I see you.
Sometimes the forecast changes in a single hour and sometimes it takes a little longer. Either way, the sky is still moving. 💓

📖 Know
When things feel uncertain, our brains try to reduce the unknown by thinking harder — replaying, predicting, and problem-solving “just in case.” Research suggests that this kind of repetitive negative thinking (aka rumination/worry) can be one of the main ways uncertainty turns into real distress. In other words: the storm isn’t only what’s happening — it’s also the mental bracing we do while we wait for the sky to change.

🛏️ Make your bed
🧽 Wipe down or organize one surface you look at all day (counter, desk, nightstand)
🎼 Put one song on and dance a little in your room!
